in spite of the fact that we spent about 7 hours, at the hospital. Bob received 1,000 ml of fluids, 1 unit of Platelets, and is now sporting an Infusa (not Infusion, as I reported earlier) Port. The Platelets and fluids gave him renewed energy, and he feels really good this afternoon.
On days like these (except for the hospital visit), we can almost forget that he has cancer.
Again, thanks for your support and prayers - please keep them coming! And, Thank you Lord, for good days like these - we'll take a few more, if you don't mind!
Bob and Sarah, wanted to let you know how much you have meant to our family over the years. I remember the huge garden we shared (with a lot of your southern foods that I hadn't heard of before), watching the tornado over St. Marys from your back door, walking the beans together, the trips and good (and bad) times that we experienced. My thoughts and prayers have been with you since I first heard the news from mom. Just know that we are only a phone call away if you need anything at all. love debbie
ReplyDeleteDebbie: We do have so many good memories of Iowa and, your beautiful family. Robbie always considered your mom like a second mother. I'm so thankful that our friendship has survived the test of time and distance.
ReplyDeleteWe're trying to take one day at a time, and be thankful for what we have. Bob has a good outlook (he's always been one of those "mind over matter" people), and that's important. We know he can't beat this disease, but hopefully they can stop it!
Thank you so much for this message, it meant a lot to both of us. Please just keep remembering him in your prayers.
Love you,
Sarah
